![]() I don’t have that file, but I do have this header with a very similar name: Development\External\GFx\Src\Kernel\HeapPT\HeapPTFreeBin.h. The game would crash and my IDE would want to find d:\depot\unrealengine3-sf4-pure\src\kernel\heappt\heapptfreebin.cpp. Thanks so much to /u/gbudiman, and hopefully this can help other people with the problem as well as giving the devs/mod-creators some insight. I was eventually able to set up a battle that made my game crash. What seemed to be my problem was 1hp rookies having shot a couple of low% shots (red fog xcom, the first crashes) and then when the mission was completed, this error came to a head and just crashed me every time. The game would crash and my IDE would want to find d:depotunrealengine3-sf4-puresrckernelheapptheapptfreebin.cpp. In my case, I had a couple of crashes at the end of my mission (and two rookies at 1hp) and then as I killed the last ayy, I would get the error every time, no matter how I played. I was eventually able to set up a battle that made my game crash. So reloaded to a previous strat layer save, turned off red fog for xcom, and redid the mission. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\XComGame\Config Or at XCom2/xcomgame if you dont have the expansion. I tried turning off in tactical layer, but it doesn't actually change there, you have to do it from strat layer. Lets now look at the key advantages of pure virtual functions in C++ one by one: Abstraction: Pure virtual functions are a way to separate the interface from the implementation, to make the code easier to maintain. TL DR: Turning off red fog for xcom in the strat layer fixed Pure virtual function error for me. ![]() After a month of not being able to play this fabulous game, I stumbled upon this post by /u/gbudiman that fixed my game!
